When do Chapter Delegate Elections begin and end?

Chapter Delegate Elections can begin Tuesday, April 4, 2023 and end no later than Tuesday, June 6, 2023.

When do chapters have to submit the results of their Delegate Elections?

Chapters must submit the results of their Delegate Elections to the National Office no later than Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 11:59 pm PT. Chapter leaders received a template and a form for submitting their election results via email on March 31.

Who is eligible to run in Chapter Delegate Elections?

Any member in good standing of a chapter may run for Delegate and vote in their chapter’s Delegate Election. Delegates must be a member in good standing through the end of Convention (August 6, 2023) in order to be seated at Convention.

What voting method do chapters have to use for Delegate Elections?

All chapters must decide their own voting method for Delegate Elections. Delegate elections must be conducted by secret ballot. You can use this voting guide, created by the Convention Voting & Elections Committee, which explains a few voting methods your chapter might consider.

How many Delegates and Alternates does my chapter get?

Chapter leaders received an apportionment email on March 17 from National DSA, indicating the number of Delegates and Alternates their chapter can elect to represent them at the 2023 Convention.

What if I am not a member of a chapter or currently considered at-large?
